THE CHALLENGE
The Inferno leadership team asked me to develop a logo for Inferno Fest as they prepared to grow it into a recognizable, annual convention. Previous yearly logos were inconsistent and were not designed with future scalability or SEO in mind. I designed a flexible logo system that aligns with Inferno’s identity and can be implemented across merchandise, print, and digital platforms. The outcome is a logo built to grow with the festival for years to come.

THE PROCESS
Guided by the request to reference LootFest, I designed the logo around key elements of Inferno’s brand, including a flame-like shape inspired by the third pillar of Inferno's mission: Ignite a fire of passion and innovation in ourselves and those around us. As Inferno looked to position itself alongside established sports teams as a leader in Vegas eSports, I implemented the four-pointed star, a symbol deeply tied to the city’s identity. This foundation enabled me to design a logo that can be recognized and embraced by the community.
As the logo formed into an organic and fiery shape, legibility became a challenge. This prompted my exploration to experiment with form and hand-lettering, balancing legibility with the form of the logo.
While assisting with its visual direction, the badge illustrations featuring the Inferno Fest logo were developed outside of Inferno.
